Hi all,
New to the forum and soon-to-be new to Denmark (hence English if that's ok). I have purchased recently a model 3 demo car in Germany. We will be relocating to Denmark later this year and I'm looking for recommendations on insurance companies for the Model 3. Also, I'm looking for basic solutions for home charging. I've read on this forum (using Google Translate) something about the charging being tax free when you rent a charging unit? We are renting a small house and have permissions to install a home charger.
We will be importing the car used (older than 6 months and more than 6.000km) so there will not be VAT/moms added however there might be a small amount of registration tax. I'm trying to figure out how best to approach SKAT for the assessment as there really aren't any used Model 3s yet on the market. I have read that the invoice from Tesla for what we pay isn't enough, that SKAT additionally will take into account the price on the Danish market. In theory, the car would be less than the 400.000 DKK electric car exemption per the price we paid in EUR converted to DKK. It's a Performance model. That said, I'm wondering how they will determine the used trading price without any examples on the Danish market. Using the calculator on SKATs website results in no taxes owed but that's based on the price we paid in EUR -> DKK.
Anyhow, looking forward to taking delivery and excited about our relocation. P.S. there are no superchargers where we will be living in Denmark.
